Ashanti glass saucer beads in Rose Pink. The 1,000 year old process of making these African beads is still used in modern day. Pulverized recycled glass is poured into a clay mold, using a cassava stem for the bead's hole. The mold is placed in a furnace and heated until the glass particles congeal without actually melting and the stem burns out. Then each bead is strung onto palm fibers. A beautiful and sustainable way to enhance your decor.
