SEA GLASS BEADS
Hand made in Africa using recycled glass, these artisan beads add a natural pop of texture and subtle color to any bookshelf or coffee table. We love them curled up in a basket and Aqua is the most popular color!
Traditionally these glass beads are made by gathering up empty glass bottles and jars and separating them into color categories. The artisans crush the glass into a powder and fill circular molds using a palm stick poked through the center to create the bead (which burns off in the furnace) leaving a hole for threading later. After cooling they roll the beads to give it the texture and aged aesthetic as if they were tumbled around in the waves of the sea. We’re obsessed.

Each strand is hand made and varies slightly. Small fissures are normal.
